ATTORNEY
Daniel Garriott
During the past twenty years, Dan has focused his legal practice on business and civil litigation, real estate matters, and family law. He also has experience in corporate formation and dissolution, noncompetition disputes, and personal injury cases. Dan has tried cases in both state and federal courts in Utah and has briefed and argued matters before the Utah Court of Appeals, the Utah Supreme Court, and the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals. He considers himself a practical problem solver and works to find efficient, cost-effective solutions to resolve his clients’ legal challenges.
Earlier in his career, Dan worked at a firm that prided itself on maintaining a true general practice and taking on virtually any matter that came through the door. This experience gave him exposure to a wide range of legal issues and helped shape the broad perspective he brings to his practice today.
Outside of the office, Dan and his wife are the proud parents of seven amazing children who keep them constantly on the move. He spends much of his free time with his family, especially on the soccer field or the ski slopes. Dan is a U.S. Soccer Federation-certified soccer coach and has served as a recreational coach for more than 15 years. He is also a certified freeride ski coach. Luckily, his family shares his love of skiing and the outdoors.
Since 2016, Dan has served on the board of directors for Impact United Soccer Club, where he acts as legal counsel to the organization. He also serves as Director of Recreation, coordinating recreational soccer programs for more than 3,500 athletes.
