Erin Stone’s practice covers nearly all areas of corporate and real estate law, licensing and compliance, as well as commercial litigation.
She advises clients on business planning, entity formation and reorganization, mergers and acquisitions, contracts, asset protection, and corporate governance. She also assists clients with liquor licensing and compliance matters. Her licensing work includes preparing and presenting applications, attending meetings with the DABC, facilitating license transfers, and helping resolve violations and compliance issues.
Erin’s real estate practice includes the purchase and sale of real property, property transfers, and commercial leasing transactions. She also represents clients in natural resource matters, including oil, gas, and mining transactions such as ore contracts and oil leases. In addition, she handles commercial litigation and appeals involving contracts, business interests, real estate disputes, and intangible property matters, including domain names.
Erin has received several professional recognitions. In 2013, she was named one of Utah’s 30 Women to Watch by Utah Business. The following year, she was selected as a Rising Star in Business Litigation by Mountain States Super Lawyers Magazine.
Before entering private practice, Erin served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable J. Thomas Greene, U.S. District Court Judge, and the Honorable Brooke C. Wells, U.S. Magistrate Judge, both in the District of Utah. She also served as corporate counsel for an international nonprofit organization and was previously a shareholder at a major Salt Lake City law firm.
Outside her legal practice, Erin served for more than six years as a volunteer board member of Girl Scouts of Utah, including serving as Chair of the Board.
When she is not in the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband and adorable son. They enjoy traveling to and exploring new places and spending lots of time on the beach.
