LEGAL ASSISTANT
Taysia Smith
Taysia joined York Howell in February 2025 as a legal assistant on Eric Whiting’s team, where she assists with estate and business planning matters. She has a diverse legal background, including experience in civil litigation, judicial administration, and legislative processes.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in political science with a legal studies emphasis from Southern Utah University, where she loved her time as a student. Before joining York Howell, she worked as a legal assistant at a full-service law firm, served as a judicial assistant with the Utah Courts, and completed an internship with the Utah Legislature.
Outside of work, she enjoys reading, hiking, playing pickleball, attending concerts, and spending time with friends and family.
