Tom brings over 20 years of legal and business expertise to his practice which concentrates primarily on real estate law, business transactions and providing outside general counsel guidance to businesses of all sizes. Clients who work with Tom appreciate his past business experience as COO and General Counsel for several successful companies which gives him a unique blend of expertise in strategic management, overseeing business operations and corporate legal affairs in a highly diverse set of business properties which enables him to offer a practical blend of legal experience and business strategy in advising his clients. Tom has successfully structured major financings, acquisitions, entitlements and operations for a wide variety of developers and businesses. Tom regularly advises clients in acquisitions, development, zoning, financing, and sales of all types of real estate including commercial, retail, office buildings, apartment buildings, condominiums, shopping centers, mixed-use, resort and master planned developments. This includes commercial office, retail and industrial leasing. Tom’s practice also includes a broad range of business and corporate transactions including entity formation, acquisition and sale of operating businesses, financing, joint ventures, corporate governance, and general business and contract law.

When Tom is not working, you can usually find him lost in the outdoors skiing, backpacking, climbing, fly-fishing, and generally in search of the world’s wild places. He is passionate about adventure and sustainable travel and takes every chance he gets to live what he loves: from exploring the labyrinthine Medina of Fez in Morocco, to climbing Tanzania’s Mt. Kilimanjaro to trekking the full Annapurna circuit in Nepal.

Tom is licensed to practice in Utah and Idaho.
